Refund Policy — Curling Stars Online

This policy applies to subscriptions to Curling Stars Online bought at curlingstars.com from Curling Stars Studio Inc. (Ontario, Canada) through our merchant of record, [MERCHANT: Shopify or Stripe — confirm]. Purchases of Curling Stars on Steam or Google Play are refunded under those stores' policies, not this one.

Annual subscriptions
If this is your first annual subscription and you ask within 14 days of the charge, we refund it in full, no reason needed. Your account returns to the free tier and your saves are kept. After 14 days, and for any renewal, the charge is not refundable — but you can cancel at any time and keep paid access until the end of the year you paid for.
Monthly subscriptions
Monthly charges are not refundable. The plan is designed so you can cancel any time: cancel before your renewal date and you will not be charged again, and you keep paid access until the end of the month you paid for. If you are unsure, try the free demo first.
How to cancel
Go to /account → Manage billing. This opens the merchant of record's billing page, where you can cancel, change your card or download invoices. Cancelling stops future charges; it does not refund the current period. Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription — cancel first.
How to request a refund
Email manotickclosingspiel@gmail.com from the address on your Google account, with the date of the charge, or use the refund option on the billing page if the merchant of record provides one. We reply within 5 business days. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method; your bank usually shows them within 5–10 business days.
Other situations
- Charged after cancelling. Email us with the dates and we will refund the charge.
- Duplicate or unrecognised charge. Email us; we refund duplicates and will help investigate anything you do not recognise. Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank: a chargeback may suspend the account until it is resolved.
- Extended outage. If the paid Service is unavailable for more than [X] consecutive days, we will extend your subscription by the same amount on request.
- Banned for breaking the Terms. No refund for the remaining period.
- We discontinue the Service. We refund the unused part of any annual subscription; monthly subscribers are simply not charged again.
- Price changes take effect at your next renewal after at least 30 days' notice. Cancel before then if you do not accept the new price.
Your legal rights
Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer-protection law where you live, including Ontario's Consumer Protection Act and, for EU and UK residents, the 14-day right to withdraw from a digital-service purchase unless you agreed at checkout to immediate access and waived that right. Where the law gives you more than this policy does, the law wins.
